Headed to China

I know I've been remiss in writing and posting videos about my Food Quest. Just now I wanted to let you know that all goes well and, though I'm probably about 60% raw right now, I'm still watching what I eat and making better choices.
Soon I'll be headed to visit China and will see how my resolve holds up to eat a lot less meat and more veggies and raw foods. I know from eating at Chinese restaurants in NYC that it can sometimes be hit or miss with all the gravies and dressings, oils and less than optimum meat selections.
By the way, I have mostly been cooking grain-fed, organic meats when I DO cook meat at home.
Ok, so I hope this tides you over till I get back. I'll be taking photos of the foods we eat and sharing them with you when I return.

Bon Chance!

Neglecting my Duties

Hey Fam, Just wanted to stop through and let you know I haven't forgotten about you. What I need for you to do is leave a comment and let me know if you've tried any of the salads you saw in the previous post...
I'm really interested to see if anyone tried the sauerkraut salad. If you haven't, make sure that you do (and add your own spin but make sure to add something sweet like tomato to the concoction).

More posts coming soon.

Welcome to my Food Quest

Hey Fam, Well I been threatening to start a food blog to document my Raw Food Journey, and here it finally has come to fruition.

For a little history on my journey, I've been eating better since about 2004 when I got a great gig as the leading actor in a play and wanted to look and feel as sexy as I possibly could. For some reason that led me to a few books including 'NATURAL CURES "THEY" DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT' by Kevin Trudeau.

Where does this all lead, you say? Well, this reading of mine talked a lot about how food affects the body and some of the whys and wherefores of our modern diet (or lack of effective diet). At that time, I cut out a lot of fried foods at home and white pastas, salt, flour, etc.

Now in 2010 I came across another book called 'THE RAW FOOD DETOX DIET' by Natalia Rose; and it just spoke to me, so I decided to check it out of the library and started following (or trying to follow) the raw food lifestyle.

It's been wonderful so far. Four months later, I'm about 70-80% raw and feeling no rush to go further until my body and mind are ready. The recipes I found in the book, and online, have been tasty and satisfying. My energy is great and my skin feels, and looks, resilient and clearer. It's been a win-win situation, and I've found myself sharing my thoughts and the recipes with everyone I know.

Here I hope to post some photos, videos, and articles about my journey. Why? Well, I'm very much into sharing and want to help others and get feedback on possible things that may help me along my journey. I also have a food vlog on youtube at youtube.com/robertantonvlogs called Food Quest. These two things will intermingle and work together to bring you, I hope, an exciting take on one man's journey and one man's quest for a better life.

Be Blessed.
