Don't Be So Lazy

I was talking to someone about juicing and they said, "that's just too much work for me". what? really? And we wonder why we're fat and unhealthy.

There was a time when people had to not only cook most of their food from scratch but they also had to plant it, nurture it, harvest it, clean it, and then prepare it. Nowadays people are too lazy to peel some fruit for a juicer and then clean it or cut up some fruit and vegt. to put into the blender (and then clean it)?

I think this is not just about eating more healthy but about totally changing our lifestyles. After 1 year and 10 months of practicing some percentage of the raw food lifestyle, one thing I've learned is that sometimes it's the perception that gets in the way.

For instance, I usually make a green drink, smoothie, or juice some fruit in the mornings. Too much work? All I have to do is prepare the fruit and run it through the blender (or juicer) then clean. If someone is having a full breakfast they have to prep and prepare the food, sit down to eat, and wash the dishes. Which do you think takes more time and, more importantly, which is healthier? I guess it depends on who you ask and what you're making; but most of the time the juice is both healthier and quicker.

Let's not be so lazy people. A healthier lifestyle includes not only eating better but also becoming more active and involved. This was just on my mind this morning. What are your thoughts?
